Day 6 Goldline Bus Belfast to Dublin Review

After visiting NI, we traveled to Ireland by Goldline Bus X1/X2(non-stop).
The bus starts at Belfast Europa Bus Station, where you may enjoy a great breakfast before the 2 hours bus journey.

There is a luggage cabin outside the bus, the driver will help you to place your baggage inside and unload it for you on arrival. Wifi is available on the bus, you can either sit back and take a nap, or go online with your mobile device. Overall speaking, the bus journey is quite comfortable and pleasant.

The bus will take you to the first stop, which is the Dublin international airport in around 1.5 hours. If your destination is Dublin city center, please stay on the bus. It takes around 30 mins to travel from the airport to city center.

After dropping off at the Dublin bus station, we took the exit behind the ticket desk inside the bus station and went to the red line tram station. There are some ticketing machines at the tram station, you may pay by card or coins. Unfortunately, all vending machines at the Dublin busaras station don't accept cards. And we didn't realise the currency being used in Dublin is Euro instead of pounds. Apparently, we didn't have any euro with us. Even worse, there isn't any exchange around. Finally we walked 15 minutes to the nearest bank (at O'cornell street) for the money exchange.

Tips: If you don't have Euro with you and your destination is O'Connell street/city center, you may consider dropping off at the airport and exchange money there. Next, take Airlink 747 to city center which runs every 15 minutes. It takes approximately 30 minutes to travel from airport to city center.

Final tips, you may buy your goldline bus ticket online at the below link. It's usually cheaper if you buy your ticket in advance online.
